Night and Day: An installation by The Milliners Guild at the National Arts Club

Despite creaky bones, I'm stepping out of millinery retirement to join the talented members of the city's Millinery Guild at an exhibit at the National Arts Club.

"The Milliners Guild presents an exhibition focused on the wearability of day hats and the glamorous theatricality of evening headgear. Using imagination, inspiration, training, experience, skill and personal style the guild has taken the theme and turned their ideas into a millinery event loaded with unlimited possibilities. Each milliner has created two hats, one for 'Night' and one for 'Day.'"

Join us at the Opening Night Party on Monday, March 11. The party starts at 6 pm. Be sure to click on the invite below for all the details. Hope to see you there!

The exhibit will be open to the public from March 12-16.

New Year, New Dolls

Some new dolls for the new year...

Introducing Soline, with her black bob and green eyes, and the sweetest clothes -- a pink cami with matching shorts, a lace-edged purple-dotted skirt, and the prettiest green coat. And leather ballet slippers, of course. She currently lives in jan & äya, located at 99 Franklin Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

And here is Capucine, with her brown bob and brown eyes -- fashionable in her blue-dotted cami and shorts, light denim skirt, and lovely blue fern coat. Yes, also in ballet slippers.
